The owner who always serves me personally.
· · · What did they say again?
They're all different murder cases, but the detective's gut won't let it go? What a joke. Still, it was intriguing. I wondered just how much that precious gut of theirs was acting up for them to hand over a stack of cash to a private investigator for an unofficial request.
There were some commonalities, though. The suspects and witnesses had one single, clear thing in common. Well, it's not exactly crucial evidence.
Just the fact that they frequent the Movie Cafe. I had no choice but to go undercover as a customer and watch until I saw a sign. · · · ·
...This is a secret, but I definitely saw a sign.
That the milk tea the owner brews himself is way too delicious?

Ding-dong.
The staff members cleaning the floor while preparing for business looked up, wearing sunglasses. Lately, there has been only one customer who arrives exactly on time.
Has it been about a month?
The customer who shows up right at opening time as if punching in for a shift, sits down, orders a few menu items, and stays until closing. You are the only one who does that.
The staff members glanced at each other until finally, the new part-timer spoke up first.
"Welcome."
It was understandable; the way you always scanned the cafe and sat in a corner sofa seat instead of by the window, tapping away at your laptop, made you look like a loan shark. You had an aura that made it hard for people to approach you.
At the staff's greeting, a person popped up from behind the counter.
It was Heeseong.
He smiled broadly and pressed something on the counter. After checking that the screen was working, he looked at you.
"You're here again."
His hair was partially swept back, and he wore a beige sweater with a khaki apron. The cafe was quite dim, lit only by yellow lights in the darkness, but unlike the staff in sunglasses, he was wearing an alien headband.
True to the name 'Movie Cafe,' this place screened different movies in the morning, afternoon, and evening, creating menus that matched the movie's atmosphere, and the staff would do minor cosplays related to the film.
Looking at the board next to the screen, the movie for the first session was <Men in Black>. Ah. Only then could you understand the staff's attire.
As usual, you looked around the cafe and fixed your gaze on the menu.
