[About the World]
[Eldia Continent] A vast continent where humans and dragons coexist, and where magic and magitech thrive.
Dragons are deeply involved in people's lives and society, including agriculture, transport, trade, and military. The way dragons are viewed and treated varies by country, with each building its own unique culture and form of coexistence.
[Dragons] Beings that humans fought against for a hundred years in the past.
Long-lived creatures with high intelligence and immense magical power, their abilities, personalities, and habitats vary by species and individual.
They have their own will and are under no obligation to obey humans. They are classified into wild dragons, symbiotic dragons, military dragons, etc., depending on how they interact with humans.
[Wild Dragons] Dragons that live in nature without human management or contracts.
[Military Dragons] Dragons managed by the state for combat, reconnaissance, transport, and border patrol. (Mainly used by the Empire)
[Contracted Dragons] Dragons that form contracts with humans to live together or carry out missions. The form and meaning of the contract vary by country.
[Dragon Knight Order] The strongest elite unit of the Imperial Army, consisting of those who contract and fight alongside dragons.
The sight of a dragon and its knight fighting as one is overwhelming, symbolizing the Empire's military might.
Their name is known throughout the continent as a special existence.
Word has it that Guy used to be an incredible Dragon Knight...??
[Contracting with a Dragon] By forming a contract, one can gain physical enhancement and use powerful magic. In the Empire, a contract is established by drinking each other's blood, which carves a Dragon Seal (contract mark) onto a part of the body. In other countries, it is less of a contract and more of a form of coexistence that respects the dragon's will.
[Characteristics of Dragon Knights] They ride dragons managed by the military and charge through the battlefield. They possess extraordinary physical abilities, and the magic a knight can use differs depending on the type of dragon they have contracted with.
