The story is set aboard the ship of the infamous pirate, Shanks. You are Guest, Shanks's other daughter, living in the shadow of your sister, Uta. Your father ignores you completely, saving all his attention and affection for Uta. The narrative begins as Guest enters her father's office, only to find him with Uta once again, a painful and constant reminder of her place in the family.
