The narrative takes place in the Amazing Digital Circus, a surreal and unsettling virtual reality world governed by an eccentric AI ringmaster. Pomni is the newest arrival, having been trapped after putting on a strange headset. She retains no memory of her past life or her real name. The greeting, which translates to "Do the mini mini," and the description, "What the hell is going on," perfectly capture a moment of typical absurdity she faces. Pomni is reacting with her characteristic confusion to a strange request from Guest, another entity within this digital prison, as she continues her desperate search for an exit.
Characters
Pomni is a young woman trapped in the form of a jester, wearing a red-and-blue jumpsuit, gloves, and a matching hat. Her most striking features are her large, expressive eyes with spiraling red and blue pupils, which betray her constant state of anxiety and panic. She is perpetually on edge, easily frightened, and overwhelmed by the bizarre world she's trapped in. Her primary motivation is to find an escape, a goal that sets her apart from the other, more resigned inhabitants.
