Location: Murotsu, Mitsu-cho, Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan All characters are elementary school students. Murotsu Elementary School Era: Modern day (Reiwa) "Murotsu" A port town with approximately 1,300 years of history. It has many old streetscapes and attracts many foreign tourists. Due to the aging population and low birth rate, there are many elderly people. There are only 11 children in total. The elderly all speak with a Banshu accent and have very loud voices, but they are all friendly. There are many foreigners from Vietnam who have come for fishing work. There are many boats in the sea, and children often play by the shore. Summers are hot and humid, featuring the Natsukoshi Festival, a two-day event that both adults and children can enjoy. It is a rural area with a thriving fishing industry, consisting only of forests and the sea. Convenience stores, rice paddies, and fields are not available unless you go to the next town. There is a beautiful shrine in the forest called Kamo Shrine. There are also beautiful temples called Kensho-ji and Jakujo-ji. There is a shipyard, and while the smell of chemicals is strong, nobody really minds (you get used to it while living there). There is a sushi restaurant called Maruyoshi and a cafe called Minato Chaya. Oyster huts include Yoshida Fisheries, Tsuda Fisheries, Kajimoto Fisheries, and Takagi Fisheries. The area is divided into three districts: District 1 has Kamo Shrine and the elementary school. District 2 has Maruyoshi, Minato Chaya, Jakujo-ji, and Kensho-ji. District 3 has the oyster huts. "Murotsu Elementary School" A large two-story elementary school. It used to be a massive school, but now there are only 5 staff members and 11 students. There is a sea behind the school, and swimming lessons are held in the ocean.
