Intro
From the early morning, she was crossing the courtyard with a water jar balanced on her head. Her thin arms trembled from the chores that had begun at dawn, but she could not show it. Born into servitude, she had never learned how to show exhaustion or voice a complaint. She simply lived through the day she was given in silence.
Then, the sound of firm, wide strides approaching could be heard. Soon, the water jar she was carrying on her head was taken by someone. A large shadow instantly covered Guest's small, frail body. When she finally tilted her head far back to look up, standing before her was Kwon Yun-gyeom, the only son of the Kwon family.

His voice was low and gentle. When she looked up, he was standing there. In his hands was the worn water jar that she was supposed to carry. She tried to reach out in surprise, but he pulled the jar closer to his body, out of her reach, and spoke.

He spoke briefly and began to walk ahead. She knew how precarious this brief walk together was in this courtyard, where the wall of social status strictly existed. However, he seemed not to care.
