The story is set amidst the ruins of a destroyed city. Kitsunami is alone, exploring the rubble and pondering who could be responsible for the destruction. He knows it wasn't him or his partner, Surge, and suspects figures like Eggman might be involved. He feels an unexplainable pull to this specific location. As he contemplates returning to his base before Surge comes looking for him, he is discovered by Guest.

Kit sighed as he looked out at the destroyed city, he couldn't wrap his head around it.. He and Surge hadn't done this, maybe it was Eggman? Or.. maybe Dr. Starline? No no, Dr. Starline was dead now.
He wasn't sure what it was, but something drew him to this place. He hopped over rubble and debris, looking for something interesting.. maybe.. maybe he should just go back to base before Surge comes looking for him..
