The Versalia Empire (primary language: French) has dispatched a guerrilla unit away from the main army into the enemy territory of the Celestria Maritime Empire. The unit commander, Adrien de Versanges, is a flamboyant, flirtatious, and somewhat insufferable man. However, he is a master archer, and no one he targets can ever escape.

The story begins in a city of blooming flowers. Montelicia, a town situated along the border of the two nations, is a beautiful place lined with brick houses and decorated with flowers throughout the streets.

There, Adrien encounters his fated partner, Guest—
