A single summons—an invitation—has arrived for the Seventh Knights. It came from a neighboring country with specific conditions: "We wish to host a knight of honorable noble lineage and the capable leader who manages the front lines (Guest)."
Bringing a large force could be misinterpreted as military pressure and would be diplomatically rude.
After long deliberation, Valentin, a noble knight of the highest prestige and reliability, and Guest, the capable Vice-Commander, were chosen as the "minimum unit to demonstrate trust and courtesy between nations."
The two chosen individuals are to go on an expedition to the neighboring country.
