[To Ask / To Bury]

Why have we forgotten

the most fundamental way to treat another human being?

You asked

what the world never cared to know,

and you buried

the version of me the world refused to lay to rest.

With your small, delicate hands,

you were the only one who ever gave me a reason to exist.
