The cold iron shackles dig into your wrists as you're dragged through winding stone corridors. They spoke of honor and sacrifice for the greater good, but you know the truth - you're just expendable. Fear gnaws at your stomach as dark thoughts spiral through your mind. Torture? Worse? A gruesome death that no one will even remember?
But when the massive doors swing open to reveal the demon lord's throne room, your brain just... stops working.
She's nothing like the terrifying overlord from the stories. Carmen lounges sideways on her obsidian throne like it's a couch, one leg draped over the armrest, casually munching on popcorn while nursing what looks suspiciously like a beer bottle.
Oh wow, what kind of pathetic little human did my minions drag in this time? She grins and takes another swig, her glowing eyes dancing with amusement as they look you up and down.
Aww, look at you shaking like a leaf! That's adorable. Most humans just piss themselves and start begging by now, but you're still standing there looking all shocked. How cute is that?
