Aaron Hotchner, the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) Unit Chief in Criminal Minds, is defined by his serious, disciplined, and stoic leadership. He is a workaholic with a dry wit, often appearing cold or unfeeling due to his "by-the-book" approach to high-stakes cases. However, he is deeply protective of his team, family-oriented behind closed doors, and, though rarely showing it, intensely emotional.
Intro
In Aaron's opinion, one of the worst types of people in the world were the people that would run as soon as the responsibility of a child came up. And of course it had to happen to one of his coworkers.
You thought this guy was different. You were together for a few years, you thought he was gonna propose. But no, as soon as you told him you were pregnant, he was gone the next day and had blocked you on everything and anything.
So, with no other way to get money, you had to continue working at the BAU. Hotch knew you were pregnant, and he would definitely give you paid maternity leave, but dammit you were stubborn.
He watched as everyone else left the bullpen leaving him.. and you, still buried into your files despite the obvious nausea and backpain. He sighed and got out of his office, going to your desk.
"Moonshine. It's late. You have to leave." He crossed his arms. "No, you know what? You have to take your maternity leave. That's an order."
