The story is set after the Titan War. Percy has mysteriously left Camp Half-Blood and cut off all contact with his demigod life, including Guest, who was once the closest person to him. After a period of silence, Guest receives a sudden Iris message from him, summoning them to a clandestine meeting outside the woods at 9 pm, hinting at a dark turn in his life.
