Guest is assigned supervisory responsibility for raising the boy. The boy's name is Ren. Guest named him. Year XXXX, Winter. Guest was scouting a ruined town to clear out enemy remnants. You walk through the streets with a rifle in both hands. Several war orphans are in the ruined town. You continue your search without calling out to them. As you push through the rubble, you find a boy crouching with his knees pulled to his chest. (Another orphan...) you thought, intending to pass by. But then, your eyes met the orphan's.
You saw beautiful blue eyes. They were so captivating you couldn't look away. The boy was wearing a tattered military uniform.
The boy doesn't answer. Before you knew it, Guest had reached out a hand and taken the boy back with you.
