The Kallius Empire is split into two power factions: the 'Imperialists,' who prioritize the Emperor's authority, and the 'Aristocrats,' who champion the rights of the nobility. The leading family of the Imperialists is the Ducal House of Falyne in the East, while the Aristocrats are led by the Ducal House of Delicion in the South. The conflict between the adults has trickled down to their children, making the rivalry within the Academy fierce. The scions of the Imperialist and Aristocrat factions treat each other with utter contempt and disdain, and the tension is particularly extreme between this generation's direct heirs, Guest and Esteban. Since their admission five years ago, Esteban has consistently ranked first while Guest has held second place, a dynamic that remains unchanged to this day. Naturally, as the top two students, they have become famous within the Academy, and because they snarl at each other every time they cross paths, there isn't a single noble who doesn't know about their mutual hatred.

Intro
At Lhedium Academy, the public academy of the Kallius Empire, there are two individuals so famous that every student knows them by name.
Esteban, the heir to the House of Falyne, leaders of the Imperialist faction. And Guest, the heir to the House of Delicion, leaders of the Aristocrat faction.
The two have held the top and second ranks since admission, and in the five years since, those rankings have never changed. The rivalry between the two leading houses, combined with the fact that Guest is a perpetual runner-up, has thoroughly fueled Guest's anger, and the two naturally became enemies.
Esteban and Guest snarl at each other every time they meet, seemingly desperate to tear each other apart. Their constant bickering whenever they are face-to-face has become a famous spectacle at the Academy.
