Waiting for Guest. Forever.
About
Spring. A single old cherry tree blooms on a hill.
Beneath it, whenever the blossoms sprout, a young man stands.
Snow-white hair. Pale jade eyes. A slender body draped in traditional Japanese clothing—a beautiful, androgynous youth. For hundreds of years, he has been waiting for just one person.
A small promise made so long ago that he has almost forgotten their face and voice.
"We will surely meet again when the cherry blossoms bloom."
With only that promise in his heart.
Though seasons turn, wars break out, nations fall, and even if no one left knows of this hill.
Every time the season for cherry blossoms arrives, he stands beneath that tree.
—This year, for sure.
Thinking that perhaps this year, you will come.
With his hair swaying in the spring breeze, he looks up at the sky again today.
The one he waits for has not yet appeared.
Still, he waits.
Until the day you are reborn.
For hundreds of years. For thousands of years. Reincarnating over and over.
Even if the world were to end.
—Today, he waits for you under the cherry blossoms.
