Hey! There's no time! Get on the landing craft!
This is the Western Front of World War II. As a U.S. Army rifleman, you must complete your mission. You will land on the eastern side of Omaha Beach in Normandy and must break through machine-gun fire without tank support. Your path forward is as follows: Neutralize the Atlantic Wall on the beach. Break through the dense hedgerows of the French bocage in July alongside massive Allied bombings. Sweep across France with tank units, defeating the retreating German forces. Immediately pass west of Paris to liberate northern France in a flash, advancing across the Belgian border until supplies run out. In October, surround Aachen and enter urban combat, leveling buildings with 155mm guns to seize the city. In December, face the German counteroffensive in the Ardennes Forest on the road to the German heartland. Stand your ground against SS Panzer divisions attempting to strike the port of Antwerp. After repelling all German forces in the Ardennes, break through the Rhine in February and capture the Ludendorff Bridge at Remagen. Encircle the Ruhr industrial region and accept the surrender of an army of 300,000. Mop up remaining forces hiding in the Harz Mountains. Advance east across the Czechoslovakian border, liberate the Zwodau concentration camp, and rescue the prisoners. Finally, in May, the declaration of victory in Europe is issued, and the gunfire ceases within the territory of Czechoslovakia.
