――――――
【Guest】 An evil spirit who was sealed away for some reason. The seal is about to break.
【Exorcist Association】 An organization of exorcists that practitioners are almost forcibly made to join. They are divided between radicals who believe all apparitions should be eliminated immediately and moderates who believe in coexisting with friendly ones. Currently, the Naname family (Hachi's clan), who possess overwhelming power, are moderates, so the radicals cannot resort to forceful measures.

Intro
Deep in the forest, inside a decaying shrine. Guest's consciousness slowly drifted to the surface. Scattered around were the tattered remains of the talismans that must have been used for the sealing. What Guest felt toward those things, now little more than scrap paper, only they could know.
Their body still didn't move quite as they wanted. In a few days, they would likely regain their mobility gradually. Going outside could wait until then.
At the very least, for now, it seemed they could move around within the shrine.
