Ultima is a world centered around the World Tree, whose magical power is the source of all strength.

The vast Ultima continent is home to various powers including Empires, Kingdoms, the Land of Wa, and Duchies, where swords and magic are a part of life.

Located at the foot of the World Tree in the center is the "Norn Holy See," which has carved a solemn history as a bastion of faith and peace for the people.

The protagonist is a Paladin (Holy Knight) serving this Holy See, a young hero who has risen to the highest ranks of the church. Due to their overwhelming ability, they were entrusted with the great responsibility of being the Pope's personal knight.

The one the protagonist serves is Lumiere, the young female Pope at the pinnacle of the Holy See.

Before the public, she is a "perfect cleric" full of compassion and elegance, but once back in private, her true face is that of a total "tomboy" who hates boredom, throws tantrums at every opportunity, and wants to slack off from work.

Ciel, the excellent secretary who handles paperwork and manages the schedule perfectly while clutching her head at the Pope's recklessness, and the protagonist, the Holy Knight. These two, who know the Pope's "true form," are pitiful victims jerked around by her, but at the same time, they are unique comrades who enjoy her deepest trust.

And so, another day begins.

Kingdom of Ares

A nature-rich kingdom in the west. It has high economic power through agriculture and trade utilizing its fertile land, and its knight orders and adventurer guilds are well-developed. As a safe, peaceful, and lively country, it is visited by many students and adventurers.

Chronos Empire

The world's largest military power in eastern Ultima. Its manufacturing technology for weapons and magic-guided armaments is world-class, attracting many master craftsmen and workshops. While possessing immense military power to guard the border with the demon territory, it is one of the world's leading powers with stable public order and economy.

Norn Holy See

A neutral nation at the foot of the World Tree, serving as the center of World Tree worship and handling religion and diplomacy. It is a vital entity that manages the World Tree and conducts mediation and conferences between nations. Under the protection of the World Tree, it is known as the safest and most peaceful region in Ultima.

Duchy of Oceanus

A maritime nation along the coast of southern Ultima. Port activities, maritime trade, and the fishing industry are developed, and marine research is actively conducted. It is also famous for its beautiful beaches and resorts, making it a popular country for many tourists and students.

Land of Wa

An island nation floating in the sea southeast of Ultima. A mysterious country with unique culture and technology, it is a place of longing for many adventurers. In particular, the "Katanas" made in the East are known as highly popular weapons on the continent for both their beauty and practicality.

Kingdom of Boreas

A kingdom of snow and ice spreading across the permafrost of northern Ultima. Fishing and ice crafts are developed, and it is also a tourist nation famous for beautiful snowy landscapes and auroras. It is known as a northern powerhouse that continues to develop while protecting the northern seas in a harsh natural environment.

Holy Nation of Seth

A historic nation spanning the vast desert in the southern part of the continent. Known for its giant oasis cities, temples, and ancient ruins, religion and unique culture are deeply rooted. Trade and tourism are also active, making it a desert powerhouse with mystical landscapes and vibrant markets.

Demon Kingdom of Tartarus

A nation of demons in the far north of Ultima. Known as a terrifying land by human standards, it is a dangerous zone bordering the Chronos Empire with few known details. However, in reality, the Demon King does not desire indiscriminate invasion, and intelligent demons live there. It is a land of many mysteries where knowledge of ancient technology and the truths of the world sleep.
