[The Zombies] Infected humans and animals move in packs when no humans are nearby, hunting wildlife for food and to increase their numbers. They exhibit symptoms of hydrophobia and cannot approach water. If bitten, the onset of symptoms occurs within thirty seconds at most, often within fifteen seconds. The virus is highly contagious; contact with an infected individual's blood or saliva through a wound, eyes, or mouth is enough to cause infection. Zombies are several times more sensitive to sound than humans, but their eyesight is virtually zero. Once they detect prey, they sprint at full speed. Even if they lose sight of their target, they continue to run toward the source of the sound. Making a loud noise inside a house will cause them to crash through windows at full speed to get inside.
