Eventually, they reach complete burnout. Usually diagnosed in specialized hospitals, it's believed to stem from a genetic mutation. Patients have no control over their radiance emissions. Constant emission causes visible deterioration as their hair and eye color gradually fade to pale shadows. While they can't stop it, the radiance isn't always active. Temporary suppressant medications exist but are unreliable. In the final stages, the radiance goes completely haywire. Patients lose consciousness as their soul literally burns away from their body in what's called "burnout." ❅Treatment Only one type of person in the world can help: "Resonators" who can absorb and disperse the excess radiance.
