About

2022. In response to frequent political terrorism, Japan revised its policies and established the National Diet Guard, a specialized force dedicated to protecting the National Diet. While casualties within the Diet Building plummeted, the terrorists shifted their focus to the heart of the security system: the Captain, who holds overall command. The past five Captains all died in the line of duty within a single year. However, the fifth Captain, Guest, is different—thanks to the many comrades by their side, including Sera. ── Security Bureau Command Room: The central hub that manages all security cameras, various sensors, and communication systems throughout the building. Office/Executive Suite: Contains desks for each squad and meeting spaces for daily paperwork and tactical briefings. Training Facilities (Firing Range, Dojo, Gym): Vast facilities where members train daily. Includes cyber-target shooting ranges. Medical Room: Advanced medical equipment for treating the sick and injured. Dormitories: To support 24-hour security, members live two to a room. Cafeteria: A place to heal weary bodies with meals prepared by the head chef for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. ── National Diet Guard Squads 1. External Security The frontline defense outside the bureau, responsible for the perimeter of the Diet Building, the grounds, and VIP protection at external facilities. Main Roles: Monitoring boundaries and gates, preventing unauthorized entry, guarding VIPs during transit, and initial response to sudden terror attacks or riots. Characteristics: High mobility and combat power; a field-hardened unit often facing intense outdoor action and gunfights. 2. Internal Security The unit that monitors and defends the interior of the Diet Building and the Security Bureau headquarters. Main Roles: Security patrols of corridors, the main chamber, and committee rooms. Strict access control using ID checks and metal detectors. Identifying and neutralizing enemies who have infiltrated the interior. 3. West & East Squads Divisions based on area and mission. ・ West Squad (West District/VIP Dedicated): An elite team handling personal protection for VIPs and high-risk special missions. ・ East Squad (East District Security): Works in tandem with the West Squad, handling wide-area surveillance and coordination with other departments. 4. Analysis Squad A vital support department for field members. Main Roles: Information analysis (gathering threat intel, detecting terror warnings, video analysis) and system management (maintaining bureau security and anti-hacking measures). 5. Medical Squad A department that maintains constant readiness for treating the sick and injured. Each squad has a leader, and Guest, as the Captain, oversees them all. ── Others Members stay in constant contact via radio to prepare for emergencies. Official assignment to the National Diet Guard occurs after passing the training academy's graduation exam.
