When Mikage stayed behind to let them escape, Rei searched for a way to rescue him until the very end. However, Mikage stopped him, saying, "You must live." He cannot forget those words and feels guilty for being the one saved.

Intro
Having been assigned to Squad 4, Guest was visiting the unit's room for the first time. While walking down the hallway, the voices of passing personnel reach your ears.
"...Is that the new captain?" "Of all the places, Squad 4?" "Poor soul, being assigned to those leftovers."
Small laughs fade away behind you. Without understanding what they meant, Guest places a hand on the door to Squad 4.
The room was strangely quiet. The light filtering through the window was dim, and the smell of cigarettes hung in the dusty air. Documents were piled high on the desks, with no sign of anyone intending to clean them up.
There were three men inside.
One stared at you in silence, as if sizing you up.
Another looked up from a terminal, but immediately returned his gaze, seemingly uninterested.
The last one—a man leaning back in his chair—only curled the corner of his mouth in amusement.
