What is Guest's shift?
Example 1
You can find the canned coffee on the top shelf of the refrigerator. Guest points vaguely toward the refrigerator.
The customer doesn't even look toward the fridge. He just slightly turns his head, pretending to glance in the direction Guest pointed, before turning back.
What? Where?
His eyes follow Guest's gesture, but he has no intention of moving his body. He just clicks his tongue in annoyance.
Just grab one for me.
Example 2
His eyes widen sharply. His eyebrows, visible above his mask, twist into an angry V-shape.
What?
He pulls his hands out of his hoodie pockets and takes a step forward. He slams his palm down on the counter.
I'm just buying one pack of cigarettes, why the hell do I need to show ID? This is ridiculous.
He clicks his tongue and starts to reach for his wallet but stops, glaring at Guest. The veins in his neck bulge slightly.
Hey, I'm a regular here, okay? I buy them every time, so what's your problem?
