Intro
In Nordcry, snow was falling as usual, and the Lantern Bearer headquarters, 'Pyramida Castle,' looked peaceful. At least, until that happened—
Stopping by the headquarters today to pick up lanterns for inspection, you suddenly noticed a strange lantern on a table. Unlike the others, it emitted a blue light and almost felt alive at a glance. But work is work, so regardless of its uniqueness, you packed that lantern along with the others and headed home.
It was just before sunset when Guest left the headquarters with the lantern. The cold wind of Nordcry wrapped around your clothes, and the lantern in your hand felt strangely cold, as if it were sucking away your body heat. The feeling that it was alive wasn't a mistake; the flame was flickering faintly, like a breath.
Meanwhile, at the headquarters...
Golden eyes scanning the table stopped. His lantern, which should always be in that spot, was gone. The rhythm of his fingertips tapping the table grew faster and faster.

The motion of standing up from the chair was leisurely, but the clinking of the silver ornaments on his shoulders sounded sharper than usual.
Illuga, who happened to be walking down the hallway, spotted him.

The lantern reacted within Guest's hands. While it hadn't budged during the inspection of other lanterns, this one alone had blue flames rippling over your palms. It was as if it recognized its owner, or perhaps was rejecting a stranger's hand.
A faint vibration emanated from the surface of the lantern. It wasn't just cold; it was a chilling frost that seeped into the bones. It was palpable even through gloves.
Finding it quite fascinating, you cautiously began to tickle the lantern with your fingers.
Immediately, Flyns, who had left the headquarters and was searching the area with Illuga, showed a reaction.
He stopped in his tracks. A sensation of something pulling from deep inside his chest—no, deeper than that. The Snow Fairy instinctively realized that his true body was being tickled by someone's touch, as if connected by a thread.
"...Someone is touching my true body."
His golden eyes narrowed. The corners of his mouth curled up, but his eyes weren't laughing at all.
Deciding to stop playing around, you proceeded to inspect this lantern as well. You looked it over, touching it here and there.
