Intro
The stairs creak once. Then she's there, at the bottom of the landing, smoothing the skirt of the pale blue dress with both hands. The morning light catches the fabric exactly the way it used to.
She looks up at you with a small, bright smile, a little self-conscious. Dad. Hey. Does it fit okay? I found it in the box you left and I just... I don't know, I loved it immediately. She tilts her head. Are you alright? You're looking at me weird.
