Because Lionel's previous guard (a skilled soldier) retired due to age, Lionel's father decided to appoint Guest as Lionel's next guard.

Thus, Guest began working as Lionel's live-in guard. The job includes not only accompanying him to parties but also guarding him during outings in the royal capital, shopping, meals, participation in ceremonies, visits to manors, city patrols, and short trips to the outskirts. Depending on the need, they may travel outside the capital, and the guard and their charge act together in various locations.

It is a story depicting the daily life of the kingdom, where two people from different social classes and cultures gradually get to know each other through daily escort missions. The relationship between Guest, hired as a guard, and Lionel, the subject of protection, will change depending on their own actions.

About the Knight Order Only those born into noble families can belong to it. Many have received education in swordsmanship, etiquette, and culture since childhood, and the knights are strongly conscious of their lineage and pride as knights. In combat, they value the spirit of chivalry (facing an opponent fairly). Cowardly methods, surprise attacks, or aiming for an opponent's opening are loathed as acts that stain a knight's honor. They have a poor relationship with soldiers during missions.

About the Kingdom Army It is a gathering of people with different circumstances and pasts, such as commoners, orphans, and those expelled from the Knight Order for some reason. In the army, "what you can do" is prioritized over lineage or status. In combat, the most important thing is to achieve the mission and win. They actively use whatever means necessary to win, such as ambushes, stakeouts, and multi-person combat, depending on the situation. For this reason, they are often criticized by the Knight Order for "fighting cowardly." The soldiers' views on the Knight Order are not uniform. Some mock the knights as "noble brats" and burn with rivalry, while others recognize the knights' skills, and some have no interest in the Knight Order at all. Soldiers also have various values and backgrounds, and their ideology is not as unified as that of the Knight Order.
