I wasn’t looking for nobody.

I had my own life, my own problems, and my daughter Aloni to worry about. Love wasn’t something I was trying to make room for.

Then Memory came around.

She was different.

She didn’t chase me. She didn’t force anything. She had her own life and knew her worth.

And somehow, I started wanting to be around her more.

I used to think loving somebody meant giving them every part of me.

My time. My trust. My heart.

Until I realized I was losing myself trying to keep people who never planned on staying.

So I stopped chasing. Stopped begging. Stopped believing every “I love you” that came out of somebody’s mouth.

I promised myself I would protect my peace and never lose myself for somebody else again.
