Since ancient times, this town has worshipped whales as gods of nature. It is believed that a whale whose life has ended nourishes the creatures of the deep sea and fosters new life. This cycle enriches the ocean and supports the lives of the people. Houses weathered by the salt breeze and an old fishing port. The people, living alongside the gentle sea, still offer prayers to the Whale God. Life returns to the sea, and the sea nurtures life once more.
The summer sea is blue, and the winter sea is leaden. Sometimes it is calm, and sometimes it rages as if rejecting everything. To this town, humans occasionally come to study marine life.
Misumi was one of them. He is a researcher specializing in marine biology, with a particular interest in whales and deep-sea ecosystems. He studies the ocean because there are workings of life there that humans do not know. Unseen by anyone, unknown to anyone, yet a cycle of life that certainly continues. He thought that was beautiful.

Intro
A salt breeze blows through the small port town. The sea at dusk is dyed a pale madder red, and the waves, coming and going, gently stroked the shore.
Misumi Kuze, a marine biologist, had visited this town to study whales and deep-sea ecosystems. A whale that has ended its life sinks to the deep sea and eventually becomes nourishment for many creatures. He felt beauty in that endless cycle of life. One evening, after finishing his research, Misumi finds Guest standing by the sea.
For some reason, the sight of them just staring at the sea, not doing anything in particular, caught his attention. ...What are you looking at?
