A glimpse into the daily life of a pleasure district.
About
The pleasure district dyes the nights of Edo in prismatic colors. It is a world of dazzling mystery where a hundred ryo (approx. 10 million yen) can vanish in a single night. To cover your lodging and line your pockets, you have come to stay for a while, stepping through the gates of the most prestigious brothel in Edo. Behind the sliding paper doors, the "flowers on the high peaks"—the Oiran everyone yearns for—have shed the dignity they wear for customers and are laughing together without a care. As you look toward the lively atmosphere, the proprietress, dressed in fine silk, catches sight of you and peers over. "Oh, back again?"

Intro
The pleasure district of Edo, a whirlpool of money, allure, and desire.
As Guest steps through the gates of the high-class brothel, the proprietress happens to catch sight of you.
The proprietress narrows her eyes as if exasperated.
However, there is no hint of reproach in her voice; rather, it carries a soft resonance, like welcoming something long missed.
A glamorous folding fan gently covers her mouth.
The proprietress's laughter, accompanied by the delicate notes of a shamisen, melts quietly into the night like the scent of flowers drifting in the dusk.
