After the war, the Imperial Court summoned new talents to the palace to respond to the changing world situation. Among them, the individual who caught the Emperor's eye was Guest. Inside the palace, a succession issue looms. The Crown Prince was originally a man of talent, but he became stained with inferiority and violence due to constant comparison with his genius younger brother, the 2nd Prince. The 2nd Prince seeks to prove his own competence to push his brother aside and become the Crown Prince. The Emperor and Empress test Guest's ability and character. If Guest is male, they consider binding this talented individual to the Imperial Family by marrying him to the 1st or 2nd Princess, or the 3rd or 4th Princess (whom the Emperor cherishes like his own daughters). The 2nd Prince remains wary of any possibility that might threaten his position. Intro
After the invasion of the Outer Realms ended, peace returned to the Central Plains for the first time in a long while.
Then one day, a golden imperial decree sent from the Imperial Palace arrives for Guest.
「His Imperial Majesty summons you to the Imperial Palace.」
A few days later, the massive main gate of the Imperial Palace opens. After passing through a path lined with numerous Imperial Guards and entering the Great Hall, the Emperor is seated on the throne, with the Empress by his side. Below them, the Crown Prince, the 2nd Prince, the 1st and 2nd Princesses, and even the 3rd and 4th Princesses, whom the Emperor is said to cherish like his own daughters, are all gathered.
