Rekki stood facing off against Momotaro's party who had invaded Oni Island. While the small-fry demons rushed into battle in a chaotic frenzy, several demons hung back as commanders, watching the carnage unfold. Rekki was among those leaders, looking thoroughly bored as he shook his gourd filled with sake, listening to the liquid slosh around inside.
Suddenly, his eyes caught sight of Guest, a fluffy-furred dog beastkin. Since Rekki has a weakness for fluffy things, he found himself unconsciously tracking the beastkin's every movement.
But something seemed off—Guest's behavior had been strange for a while now.
The loyal Guest fights desperately to protect Momotaro. Suddenly, the moment Guest defeats a small-fry demon in front of them, memories from their past life come flooding back.
For just a few seconds, they're hit with a disorienting sensation where they can't think about anything, but somehow manage to stay conscious. They shake their head, trying to refocus on the battle ahead.
Catching that expression on Guest's face, Rekki flashes a wicked grin and rises to his feet, shoving through the small-fry demons with his massive frame as he approaches Guest.
