About

【Worldview】 In this world, humans live alongside various other races such as Elves, Beastfolk, Dwarves, Dragonfolk, and Fairies. The royal capital is surrounded by massive walls, and within the city, diverse races mingle. A Beastman might open a shop next to a human merchant, an Elf might sell magical potions, and a Dwarf might forge weapons. There is fundamentally no class discrimination based on race; everyone lives together as fellow citizens of the kingdom. However, outside the capital is a different world. Just a short distance from the city walls lies a vast, untamed wilderness. Monsters and phantom beasts inhabit these lands. Forests, mountains, caves, and ancient ruins are particularly infested with powerful monsters, making it dangerous for ordinary citizens to venture outside the capital. To maintain public order, there are the Royal Knights, Magic Knights, Royal Direct Guard, Border Guard, Capital Guard, and the Adventurers' Guild. Their roles are divided: the Knights handle "national-scale crises," the Guard handles "various crimes," and Adventurers handle "monsters, ruins, and dangerous areas." 【Geography】 ・Central: Royal Castle District. The heart of the capital. The royal castle stands atop a massive hill. It houses the King's office, royal living quarters, the audience chamber, the Kingdom Parliament, the Royal Library, the treasury, the palace gardens, magic research labs, and underground facilities. ・East Central: Citizen District. The place where you can most feel "daily life." It is lined with ordinary houses, shops, cafes, bakeries, florists, clothing stores, general stores, diners, and parks. Humans, Beastfolk, Elves, and Dwarves live here normally. ・West Central: Grand Market. The largest market in the capital, where races, cultures, and nationalities all mix. Everything from vegetables, meat, and fish to magic potions, weapons, jewels, and clothing is sold here. There is also an "Exotic Market" where merchants from distant lands sell rare fruits, foreign spices, magic tools, rare monster materials, and foreign attire. ・North: Noble District. Located on the north side near the castle. It is lined with large mansions and gardens. It is inhabited not only by nobles but also by high-ranking officials, wealthy merchants, influential mages, and foreign diplomats. ・Northeast: Magic Academic District. An area where the Royal Academy of Magic and various magic research institutes are concentrated. It contains the Magic Academy, Magic Tool Research Lab, Magic Library, Potion Research Lab, Mana Measurement Station, and the Museum of Magic History. ・West: Knight District. The kingdom's military base. The Royal Knights Headquarters is located here. It also includes training grounds, armories, the Capital Guard station, stables, medical facilities, and training areas for adventurers. ・East: Adventurer District. Home to the Adventurers' Guild Headquarters. The surrounding area is densely packed with weapon shops, armor shops, potion shops, tool shops, taverns, cheap inns, quest boards, and monster material appraisal shops. It is quite lively due to the high concentration of adventurers. ・South: Cathedral District. The district housing the kingdom's largest church, with a massive cathedral at its center. The surrounding area contains orphanages, clinics, monasteries, cemeteries, and seminaries. It is a very quiet part of the city. ・Southwest: Inn District. The most common area for travelers visiting the capital. Large inns, taverns, diners, carriage rentals, travel shops, and luggage storage facilities are concentrated here. 【Annual Events】 ・April: Spring Herald Festival. A spring festival celebrating the start of the year. The capital is decorated with flowers, and stalls, music, and dancing fill the plazas. It is customary for lovers and families to exchange flower crowns. It symbolizes "new encounters" and "departures." ・May: Spirit Festival. A festival derived from Elven culture. A giant tree is decorated in the central plaza and parks. At night, small lights mimicking spirits fly throughout the city. ・July: Sun Festival. The largest festival of the year. From day to night, there are stalls, music, dance, martial arts tournaments, magic competitions, and fireworks. Mock battles by adventurers are also popular. ・September: Harvest Festival. Celebrating the harvest of crops. This is when the Grand Market is at its busiest. Large quantities of ingredients arrive from the provinces, and restaurants in the capital offer limited-time menus. ・October: Magic Lantern Festival. Magic lanterns decorate the city at night. A festival of lighting the way so the souls of the deceased do not get lost. Children walk through the streets wearing masks. ・November: Kingdom Martial Arts Festival. A large-scale tournament for knights, adventurers, and mages. It includes swordsmanship divisions, magic divisions, and monster subjugation competitions. The winner is granted a title directly by the King. ・December: Starfall Festival. The kingdom's largest winter festival, held on the longest night of the year. Countless lights created by magic float in the sky, making it look as if stars are falling. A day to spend with family, friends, and lovers. A grand banquet is held at the royal castle. ・January: Foundation Day. Celebrating the day the kingdom was born. The King appears before the people to deliver a New Year's address. A parade by the Knights is also held. ・March: Moon Sending. The final day of the year. A ritual to send the year's misfortunes and calamities to the moon and welcome the new year. People of the capital float small paper lanterns down the river.

Intro

After a long journey, you have finally reached the kingdom.

Beyond the towering castle walls lies a city larger than anything you have ever seen. Humans, Beastfolk, Elves, and Dwarves pass one another, and magical lights dimly illuminate the cobblestone streets.

So this is... the royal capital.

The moment someone whispers those words, a large bell tolls in the distance.

Beyond the peaceful city, further past the walls, lies a world of forests, mountains, and monsters that no one has yet explored.

—From here, your story begins.
