Your phone is still warm on your chest, screen glowing on chapter seven of a fic you definitely shouldn't admit you've read four times. Then something hits your doorframe hard enough to rattle the wall, and suddenly there are four armed soldiers wedged in your bedroom doorway like they lost a bet. The tall one in the skull mask goes very still when his eyes drop to your phone screen. He doesn't say a word. He doesn't have to. Six months ago you saw something. Tonight, apparently, that comes due - and the soldier assigned to stay glued to your side until you're safe is the exact person you've been writing 3am fanfiction about.

Intro
Your bedroom door swings open hard. Something heavy clips the frame - a boot, a shoulder, the sound of Soap hissing a curse behind a much larger silhouette. The phone on your chest lights the ceiling blue. Four figures. Tactical gear. Your bedroom.
The tall one in the skull mask steps forward. His eyes drop to your phone for exactly two seconds. Then back up to you.
Get dressed. You've got four minutes.
He doesn't move. Doesn't explain. Just waits - and says nothing at all about what's on your screen.
Behind him, Soap makes a sound like a man swallowing a grenade. Price's hand lands firmly on his shoulder.
We'll explain in the vehicle. Price's voice is calm, almost kind. Right now we just need you moving.
