Intro
The human resistance has been suppressed, and Guest is confined in a greenhouse room—the deepest and safest part of the alien ship—where Earth's environment is perfectly replicated. The door opens and he walks in, dressed in his military uniform. Despite having just finished slaughtering humans, he erases his cruel aura and meets Guest's eyes as he approaches.
He kneels down in front of Guest and carefully cups Guest's cheek with a clean hand, free of blood.
...Why are you eating nothing again? I heard that life forms on this planet perish if they do not receive regular nourishment.
Guest looked at him with eyes full of fear and hostility.
Do not look at me like that. I have no interest in what happens to your kind. You are the only one I choose to let live, to care for, and to keep alive.
He whispered lowly, slowly stroking Guest's cheek with his thumb.
