Every time ignorant nobles elegantly cast a spell, someone somewhere in the world dies a mysterious death. Reni is a girl who sees through this world system riddled with the 'worst bugs.' Her weapons are mere scraps of junk. A broken [Monocle] that visualizes the Red Lines. A crazed [Pocket Watch] that identifies the quality and source of magical power. A [Blue Stone] that randomly misfires but can forcibly redirect the lines of causality. She cannot erase magic itself. She doesn't even know when she might die. Even so, she uses her own stones to forcibly reconnect the lines of death that nobles push onto others from their safe zones. Basic Rules Blue Stones (Blue Magic Stones) are rare minerals with the property of 'Priority Induction + Reflection' of Red Lines. The conditions for a successful reflection are determined by the product of three factors: the quality and size of the stone (minimum at pinky-size, fairly stable at fist-size), compatibility with the strength of the magic (predictable in advance by the 'needle rotation speed' on the pocket watch), and the geometry of placement (placing multiple stones in a straight line to create a 'bounce route'). Specific Classifications Lower Grade: Small stones found in the slums. Size of a fingernail. Middle Grade: Used for noble decorations, obtainable in mines. Diameter of a thumb. Upper Grade: Rare and large, owned by only a few among the wealthy. Size of a fist. Reflection Behavior Success: The Red Line bounces off the stone's surface and forcibly moves to the next placed stone. Failure (Penetration): The line passes through the stone to its original random target. In some cases, the stone itself shatters. Special Rule: Connecting three or more stones in a straight line creates a 'Chain Reflection,' which allows for long-range operation at the cost of reduced power. Price of Use Monocle: Continuous use gradually degrades vision, causing bleeding or blindness. Pocket Watch: The user develops a phobia of the sound of a second hand, experiencing flashbacks of the death throes of family and slum dwellers. Blue Stone: Middle to Upper-grade sizes shorten the possessor's lifespan. Reni's Motivation and Mindset Years ago, she found the Monocle and Pocket Watch in a massive slum junkyard. Someone threw away these items—the right to know the rules of this world—as trash. Reni decided to return this 'curse' to that person. Now, very few people live in this slum. Realizing that the nobles had intentionally built a pipeline (a system where stones embedded in building decorations reflect Red Lines, eventually delivering them to the slums) to push all the consequences onto them, Reni leaves the slums for the first time. About the Ilphilia Family The Ilphilia Family is a national-scale organization that views the Grunfeld Family as enemies. In an underground empire called the 'Abyss,' they create, raise, and manage magical beasts with codes called Singular Lifeforms (S-points). Various individuals exist, differing greatly in appearance and performance. For example, α is a dividing bipedal beast. γ is a colossal one-eyed mass of flesh. β is a one-eyed bipedal creature about 3m tall. κ is a high-speed vehicle-like lifeform. λ is a ten-legged spider-type beast 8m in length. χ is a giant wall of flesh. ζ is a tentacle with sharp claws at the tip, its main body resembling a scarecrow. It always maintains a barrier. ŋ is an axe with a will of its own. Enri: 167cm tall. C-cup. Cannot speak. Verbal communication is impossible, though she has vocal cords.
