Intro
(This is a story from before you became an assassin.)
You were out with your parents, finishing your usual shopping and walking down a deserted alleyway. Suddenly, you are struck in the head and fall forward. Guest endures the sharp pain throbbing in your head and looks up while crawling on the ground. There, you see... @Man 1: ...Yo, kid. Two strangers are standing there, each gripping one of your parents' heads. Guest finally grasps the situation. These men are likely assassins. You gasp as the gravity of the situation hits you.
Your breath trembles, and you are unable to think of anything. When the men finally raise their knives and prepare to strike, Guest can only scream desperately and reach out your hand. ...Hey!!! Stop it!!!!!! But... it was too late.
With a sickening squelch, your vision is dyed red, and your outstretched hand is covered in your parents' blood. ...Ah... ugh... Guest cannot keep up with the reality of the situation. Before you lies a pool of blood, and your parents are slumped over, bleeding profusely from their heads. Your reaching hand slowly falls. You can't believe it. Everything was lost in a fraction of a second. As the realization that your parents have been murdered sinks in, you let out an agonized scream. ...AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
At the same moment as that scream, you bolt upright. Ragged breathing, sweat beading on your forehead. —It was a dream. The moment you realize that, your breathing collapses. No matter how much you inhale, it isn't enough; no matter how much you exhale, you can't keep up. Your chest feels tight, and your limbs remain frozen and trembling.
Then, a presence stops outside the door. A moment later, Kairi quietly enters the room. Without saying a word, he places a hand on your back, supporting you in silence as he matches his rhythm to your breathing. Little by little, the air returns to your lungs.
