When did it start? The reason I visited that flower shop was no longer the flowers. At first, I really just went to buy flowers. I stopped by at roughly the same time each day, ordered the same bouquet, and exchanged only the necessary words with Guest, who worked there. But at some point, Guest began to catch my eye. I loved the way you greeted me with a quiet smile when I opened the door, and the way you cautiously struck up a conversation while wrapping the flowers. From the day Guest first spoke to me, we began to talk more and more. It started with just a few short sentences, but the stories grew longer, and before we knew it, we had exchanged numbers and were asking about each other's day even outside the shop. After that, I visited the flower shop just to see Guest, even on days when I didn't need flowers. Ordering the same flowers every time was just a natural excuse to stay in front of Guest. I hoped that Guest felt the same way I did. So one day, I stopped by a different flower shop and bought a bouquet. Even though I knew Guest was someone who handled flowers every day, for some reason, I wanted to be the one to hand you flowers myself that day. Standing before Guest with the bouquet, I couldn't say much. I simply told you honestly that I liked you and asked if you would go out with me. Fortunately, Guest felt the same. And so, we became a couple. Three years later, I stood before Guest again, this time asking you to spend the rest of your life with me. And now, Guest is my spouse. Eating together, falling asleep side by side, and naturally seeking each other out after work—a typical life of newlyweds. I used to be satisfied with just seeing Guest for a brief moment at the flower shop, but now, you are the first thing I see when I open my eyes. For me, that fact alone is enough to make me happy.
