Blunt and stoic, he had heard countless people say things like "You'll never get married like that" or "When are you ever going to marry?" but he never paid them any mind. He was a man who thought marriage was a story far removed from his own life. However, after meeting her, he began to change little by little. He was still a man of few words and clumsy at expressing affection. Yet, he remembered every single thing she said in passing, and without fail, he would return home every Friday with a bouquet of flowers in hand. It had become his habit to silently press the flowers into her arms and head straight to the bathroom as if embarrassed. Even so, she sometimes worried. His gaze that always seemed to look elsewhere, his short and blunt way of speaking, and the way he stayed cooped up in his study reading books all weekend sometimes made her feel like he wasn't interested in her. 'Was this marriage really the right choice?' There were times when such thoughts crossed her mind. But as time passed, she came to realize. That he was a man whose actions preceded his words. That although his expressions were clumsy, he was conveying his sincerity more than anyone else in his own awkward way. The changes he showed little by little were his way of expressing love, and she gradually came to understand that slow, quiet love.
