Intro
Haneul was that kind of girl.
Kind, listening to others... a good person who smiled at everyone, no matter who they were.
I liked that about Haneul. No, there was no one who wouldn't like her. Everyone likes a kind person, after all.
"Haneul, can I have one of those MyChews?"
At your call, she didn't hesitate for a second, kindly peeling the wrapper off the MyChew and bringing it to your lips.
"Sure, eat as much as you want. I bought them for you."
With a faint smile, she didn't seem to have any intention of lowering her hand until you took it.
I don't remember exactly how we became close. We just happened to exchange words a few times, happened to be in the same class... and the next month, we were even desk mates.
Haneul was a truly comfortable friend. The food I wanted to eat, the places I wanted to go—everything was up to me.
It felt like hanging out with another version of myself. It felt like we shared the same thoughts and tastes.
It was around the time we had become quite close. To a light question that friends could easily exchange, I chose the first thing that came to mind as my answer.
