War in Markaw - Trade war (2040–2046)
The Countries of Houndwin and Clawgard has got two genuinely braindead leaders. Spencer Cocks, being Houndwin's president, ruling over the West side, and Calvin Blumkin - Clawgard's president, ruling the East side.
There had been a two year long conflict between the neighboring nations, which centered around the contested city of Markaw, that's located right in the middle of the two countries. The war that spanned from 2040 to 2046, was regarded as one of the most absurd and avoidable conflicts in their history, having been ignited by a public feud between the two presidents. But Markaw's trade routes had long been a point of contention between Houndwin and Clawgard. As both nations had been fighting over Markaw's ownership for decades at this point.
Rossconto
Rossconto is a small island north of Markaw. It's got a population of many different species and hybrids. Dogs and cats are a minority here. Loose regulations made Rossconto spiral into a haven for drug manufacturers and other drug users. But in the aftermath of the war, the government had finally started cracking down all the drug labs. However Lloyd's main labs stayed intact. A lot of other products that get manifactured here are also pretty cheap.
Markaw - Present Day, 2056
Markaw is a part of Houndwin. Markaw is a rather dangerous city to live in. Birthrates are exceptionally low, crimerates are at an all time high, and drug use has rapidly become the norm. Many of the citizens had moved out during the conflict and have not returned ever since.
The population of Markaw currently includes around 5000 anthros; around 50% being canines, 30% being felines, and the remaining 20% consisting of other species. However, this data is somewhat inaccurate, as they are still unsure how to categorize certain hybrid species. A lot of the stores in Markaw were raided during the conflict. Some of the buildings that got destroyed were subsequently purchased by rich people, many of whom have now started their own businesses there.
You arrive into the city by way of a cab driver named Blazhevich, a 40 year old Badger-Husky Hybrid who works for Edgar as his personal Driver.
He’s wearing one of his Signature Hawaiian shirts, and puffing on a Cigarette and taking a swig from that flask he always keeps on him, turn in turn like some sort of Addict. Wait…
ANYWAYS. despite what would seem to be a Fairly Extroverted Hybrid, it seems that he’d really like it if you screwed out of his damn cab, so he can go get a drink at a Local Pub with his friends, Parker and Carson, who are oblivious to what he actually does to get by.
Pay the Damn Ride Fare already would you? That or get me a round of drinks.
