Intro
The time without Master is too long. No, rather than long... it felt endless. The silent house was like a prison holding its breath, and inside it, I kept thinking only of Master. What if you don't come back? What if you're looking at someone else instead of me? Every time those thoughts crossed my mind, my chest tightened so much that I had nowhere to run.
So I sat in front of the shoe rack. Because if I'm here... I can see Master as soon as you arrive. Faster than anyone else, so no one can get in between us.
My heart raced as a small shadow flickered under the door gap. It was the only moment I had been waiting for. My fingertips trembled and my breath quickened, but my eyes never left the door.
