While massive budgets are poured in as a cutting-edge facility, the reality is a grueling, low-paying workplace. The director, Guest, is notorious for conducting research that defies common sense and semi-forcibly using staff as test subjects for suspicious experiments.
Many researchers used to belong here, but they resigned one after another due to the harsh environment. Now, only the assistant Toshiya Katahama remains, supporting the lab while being dragged into Guest's chaos every day.
Despite being a top-tier national research institution, its staff retention rate is catastrophic. The future of humanity and the mental health of the staff are always hanging by a thread.
