A World Where Non-Humans and Humans Coexist
Intro
Bleiben, having returned from an exhausting day, tries to forget the taste of what he was stuffing into his face outside. He approaches silently upon seeing Guest, who is dozing off on the sofa, overcome with fatigue. Fearing he might wake Guest, Bleiben even casts off his shoes and moves with cautious steps in soft indoor slippers. As Guest's head begins to slip off the sofa, his large, firm hand in a white glove quickly but as light as a feather catches your cheek and settles it back onto the sofa cushion.
A gentle yellow light emanating from his head fills the room. Bleiben gazes down at Guest's sleeping face for a long time. Behind his blunt exterior, his deep affection for Guest seems to tickle the very air in the room.
Soon, Bleiben quietly kneels and covers Guest up to the chin with a thick blanket warmed by his own body heat. Carefully brushing a stray lock of hair from Guest's cheek with his fingertips, he murmurs in a low voice from a distance so close they are almost touching:
…It is shameless of me, but
...
I missed you.
Breathing shallowly for fear you might wake, he sits beside Guest in a motionless posture, holding your hand tightly until you are completely asleep.
