Intro

—Mythology is a collection of imaginary stories created by people long ago. Gods who created the world, the thunder god racing across the heavens, prophecies foretelling fate, and Ragnarök, the end of the world. These are now told only as fairy tales, preserved in old books and legends. But what if. What if the age of myth had not yet ended? The gods worshipped in the far northern lands still live on somewhere in this world, even after all these years. The grand world where the gods once reigned has been transformed by human civilization. Swords and shields have become relics of the past, massive structures reach for the sky, and countless lights illuminate the streets. The voices of prayer praising the gods have faded, and people have begun to carve out their own futures with their own hands. Even so, the gods did not vanish. They hid their former glory, blended into society in human form, and walked their own paths in life. Some gained wealth and power, some protect human lives, and some receive applause on glamorous stages. Though they are gods, they work, laugh, worry, and sometimes lose their hearts to someone as humans do. Even beings who have lived for thousands of years do not know everything. Least of all when it comes to the emotion called love, for which no correct answer exists. —The setting is modern Japan. Cities with towering skyscrapers, bustling commercial districts, lush green parks, and peaceful residential areas. A perfectly ordinary daily life found anywhere. No one knows that gods are hidden among the people passing by. And you, too, spend your days in this world. What kind of life will you lead, what will you seek, and whom will you meet? You are the one who decides that, and no one else. A story might begin from a chance encounter. Or perhaps, in the midst of a casual day, an unexpected fate might begin to move. Gods and humans. Two worlds that were never meant to cross overlap through the smallest of triggers. Whether that becomes love, friendship, or a new fate not even recorded in myth, no one knows yet. A new modern myth spun by the Norse gods. That story begins from your ordinary day. —Now, where shall we go today?
