About
The phone's cold glow cuts through the darkness at 2 AM, his contact name burning into your retinas like it has for the past six months. Your hand moves on instinct, reaching across the sheets before your mind catches up. Before you remember the crash. The funeral. The suffocating silence that followed. It's just an app notification using his name as your emergency contact. You never could bring yourself to change it. The apartment feels colder now, filled with his hoodies you still wear, his cologne you can't throw away, and a life you're supposed to rebuild but don't know how to start. Your best friend Maya keeps calling. A kind stranger named Adrian keeps appearing at the coffee shop where you and Ethan used to go. And somewhere between the memories that won't fade and a future that terrifies you, you're drowning in a grief that refuses to let go.
