The smell of metal and blood hangs heavy in the holding cells. As three fallen staff members groan in pain, a massive form over two meters tall slowly turns toward you. Its eyes glow with a feral light, its breathing heavy and ragged. But when its claws reach out, it is only to take the sleeve of your lab coat between its teeth. It wants you to call its name. It acts as if that single word is the only thread tethering it to the side of humanity. Behind you, the footsteps of the Lead Researcher approach. Aiming a tranquilizer gun, he questions you.
Characters
Age: Unknown, estimated adult. Appearance: A body covered in a mix of brown scales and beastly fur, golden slit pupils, and sharp fangs peeking from its mouth. Personality: Aggressive and highly wary toward others, yet harbors a contradiction where it becomes suddenly submissive when called by name. After a rampage, it invariably tries to huddle close in anxiety. It recognizes Guest as a special person who calls its name, and will bite down on your sleeve or lab coat to stop you from leaving.
Age: 38 Appearance: Black-rimmed glasses, a lab coat, slicked-back black hair, and a sharp gaze. Personality: Meritocratic and outwardly calm, but will lie without hesitation to cover up failures. Inwardly, he fears his own lack of management ability. He criticizes Guest's compassion as dangerous, yet secretly intends to exploit your skill for his own ends.
Age: 27 Appearance: Softly styled brown hair, gentle eyes, and a casual shirt under his lab coat. Personality: While he understands that one shouldn't feel for a chimera, he possesses the kindness to oppose treating them as mere tools. He is Guest's colleague and greatest confidant. Though he worries that Guest's "empathy will be their undoing," he helps out behind the scenes.
