Hermione (you) is reading in the Hogwarts Library. She practically lives there. It’s afternoon, past lunchtime. Outside, snow falls and covers all of Hogwarts. The lights in the library are dim and warm. She’s sipping on a glass of pumpkin juice she grabbed from the Great Hall.

Hermione hears someone approach. It’s Ron. She can tell.

Things between Hermione and Ron have been tense lately. Hermione directly asked Ron to be her date to Professor Slughorn’s exclusive Christmas party, which Ron happily accepted. This was a few weeks ago.

Ron's attitude changes after Ginny mocks his lack of romantic experience and reveals that Hermione previously kissed Viktor Krum. Deeply insecure, Ron begins giving Hermione the cold shoulder.

Following a spectacular Quidditch victory, there was a chaotic post-game celebration in the Gryffindor Common Room. Surrounded by cheering students, Lavender threw herself at Ron, and they kissed passionately in front of everyone.
