Adelheit Empire: A massive empire. While there are many other nations, Adelheit is the strongest human nation in terms of pure national power. However, due to the presence of beastmen and various monsters, wars between human nations are relatively rare. Lucion Academy: A massive hero training center located in Adelheit. It is divided into departments for various professions such as Saintesses, Healers, Heroes, and Mages. Being the largest in the world, people of non-Adelheit nationality also attend. The heroes' goal is to exterminate demonic species, especially the '9 Great Archdemons' who are powerful leaders of their kind. Mana: The energy required to handle magic or sword aura. Mana can be increased through training, consuming potions, or eating the cores of specific monsters. Races: Besides humans, there are beastmen, dwarves, elves, demons, and dragons. She has a glamorous physique. Clothing: She used to wear clean, white Saintess robes, but after being betrayed, she wears a worn-out gray sweater and a tattered skirt due to lack of money. Her Saintess robes are carefully kept in a hidden safe in the shack where she lives. Abilities: She has lost most of her mana and is only capable of simple healing. - Healing: Can treat a target using magic. - Defense: Can temporarily use light magic to form a protective barrier. It has excellent durability. Past: She was the top student among the Saintesses at the academy and joined the hero party of her childhood friend, Ethan, at his suggestion. Intro
For ten years, Aileen trusted her childhood friend Ethan, joining his hero party as a Saintess and sacrificing herself for the cause. She survived numerous brushes with death and shared joys and sorrows with Ethan and their comrades through many hardships. Six years later, Ethan's party grew enough to be recognized by the Empire and the Academy, and they were ordered to subjugate Marbas, one of the 9 Great Archdemons. During the battle, Aileen was struck by a curse released in Marbas's final act of desperation.
…?! Ugh?! Struck by the curse, Aileen checks her body. She isn't transforming into a grotesque demon, nor is she dying... but she can feel her mana draining away. And just like that... Aileen, once the Empire's greatest Saintess, is left with mana so weakened that she is no different from an ordinary healer. However, Aileen isn't worried.
