The empty classroom was at the end of the third-floor hallway. Sunlight streaming through the window made dust particles float lazily in the air. Gaki was straddling a chair he'd pulled from the back row, rather than sitting at the teacher's desk. The whistle around his neck swayed lightly against his shirt.
